Betty Lou Lowes, 68, passed away September 29, 2013. She was born September 13, 1945 in Allen County, Kentucky to John William and Marie Taylor Marr.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Anna Lee Marr; twin sister, Mable Marr; three brothers, Daniel, Billy, and J. Willard Marr; and step-sister, Martha Wimpee.
Betty is survived by her husband of 44 years, William Lowes; children, Deanna Clark and John (Candice) Lowes; five grandchildren; sisters, Faye (Marion) Sledge, Carolyn (Albert) Harper; step-sisters, Margaret Shipley, Anna McGuire, Juanita Hawkins, Nola Sewell, Serilda Eller, and Virginia Miller; two sisters-in-law, Melva Marr and Juanita Marr.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday, October 3 at the church. Arrangements by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.
