Debbra J. Atwood, 60, of Orestes, passed away in her home March 28, 2013.
She was born February 21, 1953 in Anderson, the daughter of Bennie and Barbara (King) DiRuzza. Debbra lived in Orestes her whole life. She worked for Marsh, for the Orestes Town Council, and more recently as a School Bus Aide for the Alexandria Community Schools. Debbra loved the outdoors, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Teddy, who she married on July 24, 1971; her son, Chad (Michael Riley) Atwood; her daughter, Alisha (Charlie) Peavler; grandchildren, Bransten, Camden, and Ava Peavler; and siblings, Marla (Dennis) Key, and Monty “Dino” (Tammy) DiRuzza.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Orestes Christian Church, 17 E. Oak St., Orestes. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor at MainSource Bank, which will benefit her grandchildren, with a portion going to the cancer center at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
