David "Dave" Charles Fields, age 58, of Noblesville passed away on May 20, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. Dave was born on August 15, 1955 in Muncie to Charles V. Fields and Phyllis Fields. Dave has one brother, Jerry Fields, and one sister, Lisa Fields-Hoover. The family lived in Selma and Muncie where Dave attended Wapahani High School and Ball State University where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

Dave wed Teresa Fields on May 24, 1980 at Gesthsemane United Methodist Church in Muncie.

Dave was a shop teacher for several years before earning his Master's degree in Computer Science after which, he worked as a Data Architect for General Dynamics and Eli Lilly among others. Dave and Teresa moved several times in their life together. They lived in Muncie, where they had their first child, then moved to Fort Worth, TX where their second and third children were born, then moved to Detroit, MI where their fourth child was born. The family moved back to Indiana in 1992 and have been residents of Noblesville since that time.

Dave enjoyed spending time with his family, being a grandfather, airplanes, race cars and working on various home improvement projects.

Dave is survived by his wife, Teresa Fields of Noblesville, and his four children: Susan Fields, David T. "Teddy" Fields, Katherine Fields, and Christopher Fields. He is also survived by one grandchild, Tyler Fields, his mother, Phyllis Fields, his brother, Jerry Fields, and his sister, Lisa Fields-Hoover. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, lifelong friends, cousins, his brother in-law and sister in-law and his father in-law.

Services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00am at Bethel Lutheran Church in Noblesville. Visitation will be held before the service beginning at 9:30am. A reception will be held after the service. Dave will then be transported to Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, where he will be laid to rest.
