Milan Guy Duckwall, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 25, 2013. He was born September 10, 1928 to Guy and Mabel Duckwall. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Crouse, Leta Keever, Jane Stuart, and survived by his brothers; Bill Duckwall, and Bob Duckwall. Milan was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School in Upland, Indiana and Indiana University. His working career was spent primarily in the insurance industry, owning and managing an agency in Upland, Indiana. He will be lovingly missed by his children: daughters, Janna (Duane) Hazelbaker, Jara (Tom) Coe, Jill (Charlie) Zimmerman; sons, Guy (Debra) Duckwall, Gary (Elizabeth) Duckwall and Greg (Angi) Duckwall; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In retirement, he enjoyed following the Pacers and Colts, and was an avid fan of Indiana University sports. Milan also enjoyed attending theatrical productions at the Athenaeum in Indianapolis. His loyal dog, Heidi, from which he derived much joy, will miss him. A private family service will be held at Upland United Methodist Church.
