Walker Lewis Whatley, 60, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Golden Living Center. Born in Opelika, Alabama to Annie (Mike) Kindred, he lived most of his life in Indianapolis.

Walker served in the United States Army and held several positions at Naval Avionics, VA Medical Center, and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. He was an outgoing man who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Walker was very proud of his two children, Kibibi Marie (Pryor) Whatley, of Indianapolis, and Walker Lewis Whatley II, of Indianapolis. He is also survived by his mother Annie Kindred, of Opelika; his former wife, Zandra (Colbert) Whatley; grandchildren, Keiana Whatley, Tashija Whatley and Walker Whatley III; as well as his many loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN, 46250.
