Joan H Vander Hoeven was born in Hopewell Virginia on November 23, 1943. She died in Nashville Indiana, July 6, 2011, following a long battle with cancer. She graduated from nursing school in 1974 and dedicated her life to serving others as a Home Health Nurse and was active in Hope Community Church. Joan married Kenneth Vander Hoeven in 1977 in Honolulu Hawaii. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Vander Hoeven, daughters Annette Hammer, San Francisco California, Melinda Vander Hoeven, Pasadena California, son Kyle Vander Hoeven, Nashville Indiana and sister Gayle Lamoreaux, Saint Ignace Michigan. Funeral Services will be held at Hope Community Church 7440 Hague Rd. Indianapolis on Monday July 11, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. A private burial will be at Marion National Cemetery.
